Visiting any church for the very first time can be a tough experience.

We want to put you at ease. Our goal is to make your first visit be refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable for your whole family. Each service has a main purpose of bringing honor and glory to our Lord Jesus Christ while ministering to the spiritual needs of our families.

  • Where are you located?

    Our address is 745 Mineral Springs Road, Cobleskill, NY 12043. We are close to exit 22 off of I-88. Feel free to park wherever you’d like. If needed, there are handicap spaces close to the ramp in front of the church. The double doors on the front of the building will bring you into the lobby.

  • What's the morning schedule like?

    Our Sunday morning worship service begins at 11:00 in the auditorium. This service is about an hour long. If you can make it an hour earlier, we also have a Sunday School program for all ages each Sunday morning 10:00-10:45. Following the morning worship service, our pastor would like to personally greet you and thank you for visiting.

  • Where do I take my children?

    • 0 to 3 yrs old: At every service there is a safe, clean, and highly staffed nursery for children three years old and under.
    • 4 yrs old through 6th grade: They are invited to join our junior church service. This class is staffed with trained, friendly teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child.

  • How should I dress?

    There is not a dress code at Valley Bible Baptist Church for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable during your visit!

  • Am I expected to participate in the offering?

    No. We don’t invite you to Valley Bible Baptist Church for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God’s Word, and a place where you can grow in God’s grace. Please don’t feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.

  • Are there services at other times?

    Yes. We have a Sunday afternoon service that begins at 5:00 pm. In this service you’ll enjoy a challenging and helpful Bible-based message. We also meet on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. for a mid-week prayer service. Our Pastor’s Pals club for children meets on Wednesday evening as well. If you can’t be our guest on Sunday morning, we hope you’ll visit with us during another service time.

    Whether you’re new to the area and looking for a church home, or if it’s been a long time since you’ve attended church at all, we hope your visit at Valley Bible Baptist will be awesome! We exist to serve you and your family, and we are looking forward to meeting you personally.
